A birthday is always a time to celebrate and, unlike other celebrations throughout the year, a birthday focuses on a particular person. If you have a special person in your life, be it a father or mother, a boyfriend or girlfriend, a wife, or a good friend, show them how much you mean to them by hosting a party for their next birthday.
Plan a milestone birthday party
All birthdays are special, but some are more special than others. Think back to those birthdays when you were hated, congratulated, or celebrated in an extra special way. It was probably a milestone birthday when you could reach legal age, a new decade, or a quarter of a century. So, basically, there is a milestone opportunity every few years. This means you have another chance to be creative if you are planning a milestone birthday party. There are a few things to consider when you plan one of these special parties.
Here are some fun ideas for teens to celebrate their birthday…

Scavenger Hunt Game
Bring back the treasure hunts you used to do with your kids when they were young, but expand the borders – this is perfect for teens who are used to moving around on their own. Start the party by dividing the visitors into teams and having them decorate T-shirts – make sure you have enough fabric markers and Sharpies on hand. Give out clue lists, have the kids snap the items on the list with their smartphones, and have them meet up in an hour or two. Include some ridiculous behaviors that teenagers secretly love to perform, such as singing a classic song from their childhood or turning cartwheels in the park, in addition to visiting sites or historical markers. This is also ideal for a coed gathering.
-
Night Games with Bonfire
If you are a parent and your tween or teen wants a coed party, start with a barbecue and then play some classic games that have been made more mature by being played after the sun has set. Consider a ghost in a cemetery, kicking the can, and capturing the flag. If you have space, you can end the night with a bonfire and marshmallows and s’mores.
