How to celebrate International Women’s Day

Before throwing a March 8th party, it is important to understand two things: by whom and for whom. Depending on this, events can develop in diametrically opposite directions – from a quiet family evening with friends to an irresistibly cheerful party with cocktails and dances.

Four unconventional ideas for celebrating International Women’s Day

  1. Second bachelorette party

Do you want to relax to the fullest? You can arrange a “second bachelorette party.” This party should definitely include a lot of alcohol, dancing and candid stories about men. Of course, this option is only suitable for a small group of close friends with a good sense of humour.

But who will be the centre of attention, the “bride”? This is where all the fun of the party should be – the “bride” will be constantly changing. Buy a few inexpensive table clocks (with a round face and a nasty ring), stick photos of your party members on them, and set up alarms at an hour and a half intervals. On the call, a new participant becomes the “bride”, and all attention is switched to her. With each “bride” the party will take a new turn, adjusting to the tastes of a particular girl – fun is guaranteed.

  1. Theme party

In Russia, International Women’s Day is traditionally employed by men, but this does not mean at all that women cannot take the initiative into their own hands. On International Women’s Day, it would be appropriate to remember the roots of the holiday: hang Soviet and foreign feminist posters, dress up in the costumes of professions that women were forbidden to engage in (a student is one of them, by the way), drink to the strength of a woman’s spirit, laugh and have a good time.

To heighten your dive, here are some simple and tried-and-true feminist cocktail recipes:

Jane Collins, named after a member of the European Parliament in Yorkshire: 50 grams of whiskey, 25 grams of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of syrup, 50 grams of soda, add a lemon wedge and orange wedge.

Rosé the Riveter, named after Rosie the Riveter, the famous American character in WWII posters: 250 grams of rose wine, 50 grams of grapefruit vodka, squeeze a lemon wedge and add a leaf of basil.

Rosa Kennedy, named after the mother of the American president: 30 grams of vodka, 30 grams of soda, 30 grams of cranberry juice and one lemon wedge.

  1. Complete relaxation

Another tip for men is to surprise their ladies. The loft provides a lot of space for creativity, and it must be used wisely. If you want to make the party truly unforgettable, allow your loved ones to do interesting and unusual things. Invite a florist who teaches bouquets, a dance instructor, an artist, a portraitist, learn how to mix cocktails – the Internet is full of specialists who will gladly come to you with everything you need. It is much more fun for a new person to study in the company of friends, and not to go to some courses with a gift certificate.

Or you can diversify such an evening even more: before the start of the event, hand out game currency to the participants, for it you can put on makeup or pay the artist for your portrait, buy a dessert, in general, get all the joys of living in one place.

  1. Game restaurant

If young people are throwing a party for their beloved mothers, girls, wives, and they want to create a romantic atmosphere, then it is important to remember: women value care more than anything else in the world.

Take care of the ladies: equip the loft as a restaurant or bar and take on the role of hosts. Let someone be a DJ, someone will dress in the “uniform” of a waiter and take “orders” for food, and someone will serve drinks at the counter. At the same time, it is not necessary to cook yourself, and even unnecessary, unless there is a talented cook among you.

This format will especially delight mothers – believe me, it will be incredibly pleasant for them to watch at least one day how you do what they have been doing for you all their lives. The main thing is not to contradict them when they want to grumble – for them this is also part of the holiday.

How to congratulate female colleagues on International Women’s Day

How to congratulate employees on International Women’s Day uncommonly and with a twinkle? Which venue to choose for a spring corporate party – a loft or a restaurant? Sharing the best ideas – take your pick!

Celebrating in a restaurant

A trip to the restaurant with the whole team is a more interesting option for celebrating International Women’s Day than in the office, and is suitable for a team that has something to remember while clinking glasses!

Sometimes male colleagues are limited to a small corporate party, organized on their own, and congratulations in words. Such a celebration, even without an entertainment program, instantly creates a joyful mood for the whole evening.

After the solemn words of the boss and the presentation of gifts, invite the ladies to the table. On International Women’s Day, restaurants delight customers with special offers timed to International Women’s Day.

What to order in a restaurant on International Women’s Day

  • Employees will be pleasantly surprised by a pyramid of glasses of champagne presented to them as a gift or signature cocktails in glasses with sugar rims and maraschino cherries.
  • Order a chocolate fountain and add sliced fruit or marshmallows to it with a special burner, where you can fry the marshmallows until crisp.
  • Instead of a large multi-tiered cake that can hardly be cut and not stained, buy cupcakes decorated with pastry pearls, flowers, or branded toppers.

If you are embarrassed to make toasts in honour of the beautiful half of your office in the presence of restaurant guests, consider renting a separate room.
